 The Heart of Brevard - the city's Main Street Program - is a
testament to the fact that this mountain community works together to
keep its downtown revitalized and energized. When the program began in
1993, there were thirteen vacant buildings downtown. Today, the Heart
of Brevard is filled with active businesses and professional offices;
it is clean and green, with lush trees and flowers flourishing on the
downtown streets.
